
Enterprise Manager can generate events, alerts and actions and apply them automatically. These events can be forwarded to other systems, applications or users in a number of different ways. The Enterprise Manager policy defines what events to produce and what information to include in the forwarded event.

Email - Enterprise Manager can generate and send SMTP emails containing information about the incident or event detected to a distribution list.
ODBC - Enterprise Manager can add entries directly into database tables using Enterprise Manager's ODBC extension.
Service Desk - Enterprise Manager can generate and update trouble tickets on a number of service desk systems including RMS Service Desk, Remedy ARS and HEAT. The level of integration depends on the facilities provided by, and made available by, the specific service desk application.

Running Scripts and Programs - Enterprise Manager has the ability to run scripts, batch files and other programs on Unix and Windows systems. The script or program can deliver any functionality that the action requires.
