Contractual and Financial Information

Assets can be linked to both customers and suppliers and the relevant contracts and SLAs. Contractual and financial information is also captured against the asset including warranties.

With supplier contracts defined, incidents and problems can be escalated to a third party supplier. The RMS Service Desk can be configured to ‘stop the clock' on the internal SLA and start it automatically on the supplier one. Key details from the supplier are captured and the performance of the third party supplier can be monitored and reported on through the standard reports within the application.

Financial information can be captured against each inventory/asset within the RMS CMDB. Some of this has been shown in the last two screen shots. Information held can include purchase value, depreciation and disposal value, replacement costs (for insurance purposes) and ongoing costs.

Supplier contracts can also be set up in the system and linked to inventory/assets. Contract costs can be calculated in a number of ways: as an overall supplier contract cost; as a summed cost of the items on the contract; as a summed cost of the regular costs (eg monthly) against the contract. This includes the ability to manage rolling contracts.

The RMS systems also allow for forward charging to Customers. Customer contracts can be set up, again against inventory if required. Standard reports for forward charging to customers and backward reconciling with suppliers include:

Time and resource rates can also be captured within the system and used for departmental cross charging. Additionally there is the ability to set up services for call off by department or individual as incidents and problems are logged.
