Nigel Beresford - Director

A key member of the RMS team from its early days, Nigel's IT roots lie in South Africa selling the first desktop computers to organisations. His visionary eye was one of the first in the industry to detect the trend towards networking. The company he formed to develop that niche market is now part of Hewlett-Packard.

Nigel retained the part of the business that interested him most — the software development business — and it is this that formed the core of what was to become RMS Services. He joined RMS in a full time role as Chief Executive in 2000, overseeing the company’s growth, the acquisition of WideAwake and the migration to subscription pricing.

With over 25 years experience in the IT industry, Nigel has an enviable track record of identifying ground breaking technologies, personnel and resources to develop profitable, high growth companies.

In 2009 Nigel decided to step back from the Managing Director's role, freeing him to think more strategically about industry structure and market changes, and about the global perspective of the IT industry. He continues to play a key role in the long term direction of RMS.
