RMS Services ITIL Service Catalogue Management

The purpose of Service Catalogue Management is to provide a single source of consistent information on all the agreed services and ensure it is widely available to those who are approved to access it.

The goal of the Service Catalogue Management process is to ensure that a Service Catalogue is produced and maintained containing accurate information on all operational services and those being prepared to be run operationally.

The objective of Service Catalogue Management its to manage the information contained within the Service Catalogue and to ensure it is accurate and reflects the current details, status, interfaces and dependencies of all services that are being run, or being prepared t run, in the lice environment.

The RMS solution supports Service Catalogue Management by:

  • Providing a Service Catalogue to record the details of all the services within an organisation, both business and IT and identifying whether they are in a test or live environment
  • Providing details of the dependencies between services, other services and service assets
  • Automatically showing the impact of planned or unplanned outage of a component on all affected services taking into account resilience
  • Providing access to the service details to the business through the web portal
  • Providing additional information through the Content Management System functionality of the web portal
