The overall aim of release management is to ensure the availability of live IT services through the formalisation of procedures and processes.

Release Management is controlled through the RMS Change Management system as part of the suite of processes that can be built into the system. Through the modelling of processes, based on “best practice”, the mechanisms for planning, testing and rolling out releases of different systems can be created to meet the goals of Release Management.

• Track all asset changes
